The Cheyenne BOPU SCADA system involved the installation of a supervisory control and data acquisition system on the well fields west of town. This system replaced an obsolete Leeds and Northrup BIF Acutel SCADA system. In conjunction with KNS Communications of Englewood, Colorado, States West designed the radio paths and the computer control software screens for the project. The radios include two 900 MAS master stations with an overall total of 49 remote stations. The two master stations  are linked by a UHF point-to-point frequency. The BOPU can expand the system to include all facilities they manage from their shop located in town.
